Garnish to decorate food
Gate (1) the trigger lead on a thyristor
Gate (2) a logic circuit which switches on its output depending on the state of its inputs
G-Clamp a device you can use to hold work steady or to keep parts assembled while glue dries

Gear

a toothed wheel, usually fixed to a shaft so that it rotates at the same speed as the shaft

Germanium  A metallic element used in diodes and transistors for its semiconductor properties.
Glass paper

an abrasive paper used to smooth the rough edges of freshly sawn wood

Glaze a coating of egg and sugar used to provide a shine on food
Glue Gun a device for heating and applying hot melt glue to parts to be joined together.
Grain  a characteristic pattern which is visible on the surface of wood
Graphite  a mineral substance used with clay to make the lead of a pencil. Pencils are made softer or harder, depending on the proportion of graphite and clay used in them.
GRP glass reinforced plastic sometimes called glass fibre
